"Out of the box is where I live"

I heard a few days ago Polvyvore was phasing out their ask section..which I am disapointed to see because I believe fashion is a community more so than a lot of other arts.
 
I hope you change your mind.

One of my favorite muses are everyday objects. The form can inspire your choice of cuts, color, and layering.
 
For this set, I was inspired by a Queen of Hearts playing card. I was lucky to find a necklace that displayed the card so I could play around my inspiration and wear it as well.
 
I also worked hard to find a shirt that would mimic the Queen's robe and a pair of pants to coordinate with said shirt. To mimic the blue trim found on the robe, I also found a blue Indian sari that I could drape (most likely in the traditional manner or just across my shoulders like a scarf) I also used the cobalt blues to soften the red coloring and mimic the cobalt found in the card. The red purse is to represent the bright red hearts.

Karlie's spreads usually rank among my favourites, so when this contest came about, I knew I had to pick her.
 
Karlie's spreads usually involve darker colors (represented by the heels, dress and earrings) , mixing patterns (the dress and the scarf) , and subtle hints of feminity (the bracelet and the scarf).
There is usually one bright color serving to draw your eye initially into the picture (represented by the purse)
